Next week I will be flying OKC-IAH-LHR-IAH-OKC on a mileage run. I'm only staying at LHR for about 3 hours. I'm wondering if they print all of my boarding passes (as I will be within 24 hours of check-in for the return flights) at OKC, will I be considered as a connecting passenger, or will I have to clear immigration, get stamped, and then check in again outside of security? I know that I will have to go through an additional security screening at LHR, even if I do not go through customs. On my last flight to LHR, they asked connecting passengers to go one way, and the rest to proceed through customs. I've transited NRT and FRA before onward and I didn't have to go through customs, only an additional security check...anyone know?

You should be able to head straight to flight connections. Even if you haven't got your boarding passes, a copy of your itinerary should get you through so you can pick up your boarding passes from your onward airline's transfer desk. As you correctly pointed out, the only check will be security, there will be no customs check.

There's no problem going to the transfer and connecting flight desk. United will check you back in at LHR.
If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!

Out of curiosity...what have they got you on from OKC-IAH and return? A 9L Q400? I was under the impression that UA was bringing mainline back to OKC from IAH and ORD.

Yeah, it's a Q400. I think they are supposed to add a mainline flight in the near future. OKC gets a mixture of ERJ's and Q400's to IAH these days. The rest of the United system is a mix of CRJ's and A320 series.
