Hi all

Was hoping somebody would be able to advise the best seat on an SK MD87 to get a good view of the engine/wing at takeoff. I was looking at 24A but worry about rows having no window, or worst still just having a view of the side of the engine!

Cheers
Noel

Have a look in the tripreports section. I have recently posted 2 tripreports on the SK MD87. You'll be fine in 24A, nothing to worry about.

Thanks for the input.

Flight was very nice yesterday, I ended up in 25A.

For anyone needing info for the future on this, here is my advice:

Row 23/24 - probably the best rows. 24 has a better view of the engine fans for video during takeoff.
Row 25 - Engine comes halfway across the window, it's OK but not very good for the view (although there is a limited view forward). It is also seriously noisy and an awful lot of vibration - made me nauseous after a while. You also can't hear the engine 'sounds', just a very loud humming noise (but the sound on the video has come out with every little bit audible!).
Row 26 - don't bother. Your window 'view' is the side of the engine, no upward, downward or forward view.

Good to hear that you also ended up on the MD87, which is rare also in the SK fleet these days. Often subbed by something else.
