LH 744 PTVs?

Hi,
First of all, I'm sorry if there's another thread on this. I tried searching but all I came up with was an oldie from 2010 which didn't have any new information about this topic.

Anyway... I'm flying a LH 744 FRA-LAX in the end of april and was wondering if there's still a risk of getting a 744 without any PTV's, or are all 744 economy cabins upgraded by then?

Also, is there any chance that they change the equipment to a 748 (or a 380 for that matter) on this flight?

Thanks!

Yes, there is still a chance.

No, not all are upgraded by then.

Very low to zero. 748i won't be in service until May and 380 is planned for other rotations.

Wow... That was fast!   Thanks.

Do you know how many 744's are upgraded as of now?

Not sure, but more than half. So chances are high, but don't count on it.

Though LH tries to send the new ones to the 'premium' destinations and LAX is one if it. Usually new F any Y class on these flights.

When exactly are you flying?

I'm flying on april 24.

I'll survive even without PTV's.   I've experienced some of my best flights with LH. Service is always great.
I've never been able to catch one of their 744 before though so I'm looking forward to it, PTV or not. All my previous long-hauls with LH has been on the 346.

Maybe I will be on that trip as LAX is my favorite destination and I bid for LAX almost every month.

Good to hear. Maybe you get one with PTV.

Hehe, cool. Well, if you do get that flight you now know that you'll have a fellow A.nutter onboard, heading for an awesome vacation.
Cheers!

And I am sure IAD is one of them, right?

BTW, will you be flying LH 419 (IAD-FRA) on MAR 25

Don't know. haven't been to IAD for quite some time.

Chances are around 1:3 to get one with PTV.

No clue, yet...
