Hi,

My mother in law is flying POA-PTY-MCO in a few weeks. Will she have to clear customs in PTY too and recheck baggages?

No. Bags will be changed from one plane to another "automatically". She will only need to walk from one gate to another, no immigration, no customs. =)

No customs, no immigration, and (oddly) no security will need to be cleared during transit at PTY.
