Heading down to SEA this long weekend. Wondering if there is a hotel at SEA which has good views of the action, particularly over the apron or active runways or very short final?

The Doubletree seems to be in good position, and is tall enough, to get good views. I have no way of knowing for sure though.

That is pretty much the only one. But it only gives you views PARTS of the airport, not all of it. And it depends on where your room is. Ask to stay in the tower facing the airport. You'll definitely get the action at the hangars and the S Satellite. But seeing take-off rolls are kinda hard to see, especially if they are taking off from the north part of the airport as Sea-Tac Airport blocks most of the views.

The Coast Gateway is all but adjacent to the A terminal. If you can request a room facing North, you should get good ramp views.

I dunno about that.... the hotel sits pretty low and is no more than 7 or so floors up and is obstructed by the A concourse and the hangars/flight kitchen. The best bet is the Doubletree.
