I am looking to buy a lounge pass for either United or US Airways, since they have access to each others clubs and the airports I fly into have their clubs. I looked at pricing and it is either $500 for US or $525 for UA. Does anyone know if they put sales on for their memberships often? I did a google search and found that US offered passes for like $250 once or somewhere around there.
Anyone have a review they'd like to share about either club?

If you have preferred status on US then the price is discounted. And they occasionally do special deals, though these days only for preferred members.
Last deal on US was 2500 preferred qualifying miles + waived joining fee for preferred members (ended 4/4)

A better deal would be to get the United MileagePlus Club Personal or Business Card for $395/yr. Get full access with up to 2 guests. You can use UA, US lounges in the USA, plus many more star alliance lounges throughout the USA and the World.
You get more bang for your buck getting the credit card.
