is there someone out here who has done a booking on Lion Air recently with a non-Indonesian credit card? I tried all my credit cards now, as did a friend and we cannot finish our booking. It ends at the very last step, where you have to put in your Verified Payment code. Anybody has any ideas on how to realize a booking on Lion Air?

Which type of credit cards do you have? VISA? More and more banks now require their customers to make use of "verified by Visa" or "Mastercard Securecode" in order to protect them from possible fraudulent transactions.
Contact your bank and enquire about registering for the relevant "fraud protection program". If you are registered for online banking, it should be even easier.
I hope this helps. Regards,

I have tried many times to purchase a ticket on Lion Air with a U.S. credit card. It has never worked. In my case, I have a family member who is a travel agent and can pay for the ticket, if I can not get to an airport/city ticket office. You might can try a travel agent.

SA7700 is quite right. You should contact your bank or set up verification on line. All you need to do is to provide your CC company with your mobile number. It's very common here in Asia to be asked for a verification code for online purchases. Basically what happens is that your credit card company will send you a verification code by SMS. You then enter the code on the vendor's website within three minutes. Everything will then work fine. It is very quick and easy.

I am using Verified by Visa all the time and with Lion Air I always get to the point where the verified by visa window pops up, I type in my password and nothing ever happens, just an error message. Once I have gotten to this point where I just need to put in my verified code, it has usually always worked... THat´s why I wonder. Maybe I try from a different computer, a friend told me that he couldn´t do a booking once on another airline from his Mac but it worked fine from a PC...
