How many miles, all airlines and destinations combined, do you accrue in a given year, on average?

For me, it's about 18,000.
What about you?

Most years, <3,000 miles. 2004 has been a banner year for me and traveling, however. I'm up to 6,000 miles so far.

A normal year sees me flying about 8,000 miles, but so far this year I have flown just over 20,000 miles. Hope it goes up again next year too  Big thumbs up

I generally log about 25-30K per year - which is not the most, but certainly not the least. It gets me one free flight on CO/DL/NW and I use it to fly up to CLE for the holidays. Usually if I fly out to the Pacific Northwest from FLL for my yearly vacation, I log half of my miles right there.

It's really hard for me to figure exact miles. I do about 120 segments a year, on NW, XJ, Pinnacle, KL, CO, and now AF. Most of them are short haul throughout the mid-west, and they always credit me with 500 miles even if it is shorter then 500, plus a 125% bonus.

So when I look at the total on the NWA site it wouldn't make sense.

in the last 12 months.

in purely flown terms and not extra miles for having a higher FF card of flying a premium class.

im taking a guess at 60000-75000 miles.

Imonti:

Just for the sake of asking, as a 16-20 year old student, how do you do so much flying?

so far this year i have done

LHR-HKG-LHR (x2) approx 24,000miles
LHR-MEL-LHR approx 24,000

This coming xmas LHR-HKG-LHR approx 12,000miles

so by the end of this year I should have done approx 60,000 miles.

27,300 miles per year is what I average out to according to the logs I've kept.

Cheers!

It's an entirely different kind of flying; all together.

Last year 55,000 and this year will probably be about the same. Just enough to make Premier Executive on UA.
