Hi everyone,
I'm booked to fly BHX-AMS-SXB in June. I'm departing on KL1420 arriving at Schiphol at 0820. However, my connecting flight to SXB is at 0925, which leaves a 1h05 connecting time. I'm worried that I'm not going to have enough time to connect, especially with the UK not being a Schengen country. Do you think it will be ok?
Quite some walking involved, plus going through new security check which can be busy passing from non-Schengen to Schengen hall.
You will arrive around a time some widebodies have arrived spitting out people connecting onto flights into Schengen zone. Do not expect any preferred handling as others will be on short connections, too.
65 min? Manageable, but not really a piece aof cake. You should make a beeline for that passport & security check. Any shopping to be done afterwards.

AMS is an airport I have most confidence in short connections in - last year I did a Schengen - non-Schengen transfer in 20 mins flat. Don't dawdle, and bear in mind that if the passport control and security queues are very long, it may be quicker to head landside and pass security that way.

When I flew IAD-AMS-GOT back in '09, We got off at the F gates, and we had no issue getting to the B-gates. Now, we got in at about 7:20, and our connection didn't leave until 10:00, but we got to the B-gates in less than 15 minutes. You should have no issues there.
