Travelling to Asia, coming home from Singapore I have 2 options I want insight about.
I can either tak SQ 12 and fly SIN-NRT-LAX on A388, or take SQ 22 and fly SIN-LAX on A345, I must admit I thought of taking SIN-EWR (longest scheduled commercial flight), but thinking of having to fly US carrier NYC-LAX . Never been on either A/C and I am flying to Europe first so couldn´t take LAX-SIN and then SIN-NRT-LAX, although I´d love to.

I'd do the A345 on SIN-LAX. A380s will be around for decades, but the A345 nonstops are not going to be around forever.
I did EWR-SIN-EWR. It was a great flight. I assume you are flying business class on both flights. It is nice to be able to eat, get a full night rest and also enjoy the amenities on the flight. However EWR-SIN was much better than SIN-EWR when dealing with jetlag. 18 hours on a plane did not bother me at all.
If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!

Since you're flying to Europe first and wanna log the A380, why not fly SQ25 JFK-FRA-SIN then SIN-LAX? If you wanna avoid flying a bad US carrier NYC-LAX if you want to fly SIN-EWR, I might say try VX although I've personally never flown them before but they look like the best choice for that route.
