I was on an LH flight to BLR recently and was glad to see that that they had a proper caviar service. The caviar was delicious and I was wondering if anybody knew what they usually serve.

ps I am just a poor sod with a lot of miles...

When I last flew LH in F it was an Italian farm raised Sturgeon caviar.

It was certainly very delicious!

I could only find this

It says that they serve Persian or Russian caviar from the Caspian sea, but that they also serve farm-raised Lombardian sturgeon caviar. They're apparently of high quality and often more pure than the 'original'.

..sick of it. -K. Pilkington.

It's usually Italian farmed caviar. It's quite nice, but it can be a bit gloopy at times.

Thank you all for your posts, much appreciated!

Incidentally, the aircraft was on was quite old, and the F cabin upstairs had these ugly disco-looking F seats. Also, each passenger had two seats: the seat alongside was prepped as a bed. This was on the FRA-BLR leg of my journey.
