Hi all
I have a question. It seems that Terminal 2 is a new terminal at Malpensa.
However it seems that it is being used by Easyjet and LCCs only. Terminal 1 handles all non-shengen flights and most international flights. Did it not make sense for them to move to the new terminal and let easyjet and co have the old one?
One would think that they would like to upgrade the passenger experience as transferring through MXP terminal 1 is not a nice experience.
Thanks for some input on this. Am transferring through MXP in summer on my way to HKG.

You are getting it all wrong. The new terminal in T1 and the old one is T2. T2 is only used by Easyjet. All the other LCC are using T1. There are now two satellites in T1. Satellite A is now Schengen, satellite B is non-Schengen. When satellite C will be ready this will become the non-Schengen satellite and B will become mixed operation.

Hi T2 is only used by Easyjet and is the OLD terminal on MXP. The new terminal is the T1; all airlines, except Easyjet, use T1, so you'll have not to change terminal if you'll have a connection in MXP.
Or If you'll have to park your car near MXP, don't do it in the airport parkings, they're really expensive, better to choose one near the MXP area (ParkingGo , Park and Fly, ...) my two cents!

The funny thing about Malpensa is trying to find the Avis rental car return lot. You have to actually go into short term parking and take a right turn into the Avis lot. Pretty confusing early in the morning. Two years ago I think I circled Malpensa 3 times before I figured it out.

Thanks to all for clarifying. So this means that the old terminal is now no longer used?
So the previous B gates are now empty or do they still exist? I tried to find some information on the website but could not really see any pictures.
