Hi guys,
I just had a quick question. How can I get a seat infront of the wing on the Lufthansa A380? I called them and they said those seats are only available at the airport, however, I am worried that I will not be able to get the seats before they have been taken. Is there any way I can get them before going to the airport or online? They usually can't choose LH seats at the SAS check-in at GOT. My flight info is following:
LH821 7:00AM-8:50AM GOT-FRA
LH454 9:50AM-12:20PM FRA-SFO on the A380 JUNE 15th 2012.

There are not a lot of Economy Class seats in front of the aircraft, and as with all LH longhaul aircrafts seats in the first rows (on the A380 probably approx first 15 rows) are reserved for Star Alliance Gold or full fare paying passengers (i.e. Y or B class).
You should try to check in online as early as you can. But even then sometimes they didn't show in my experience. Then you can still ask at the airport. But that's your only chance as far as I know if you don't have a high status or a full fare ticket.

I flew on seat 58A in Nov 2011 and at that time I was only LH/Star silver. My girlfriend traveled on a staff ticket and was able to pick seat 58B without problems. I think I pre-selected the seat at the time of booking, and all seats in front of the wing were available. Don't pick row 59 though, it had a misaligned window.
