With various movies over the years involving aircraft situations, I do know of a few airplanes that were used in the film and in later years ended up being involved in an accident or some other current event that made the papers or was noteworthy.
Two I can think of:

*The Boeing 707 used in the "Airport" film. Later on in 1989 (I think that was the year) the actual plane crashed in South America while on a cargo run.

*The B-29 Superfortress used in the Disney film "The Last Flight of Noah's Ark". In 1984...four years after being used for the movie filming...as the plane was climbing out of Oakland on a ferry flight to Lakeland Florida for restoration and wing spar work, the aircraft experienced a serious engine breakup/failure nearly causing a crash. The crew managed to get the plane back on the ground in a safe emergency landing.
