Quoting avi8tir (Thread starter): Which product is better.... def tempted to go 787 as its the newest.
JL, inexplicably, put an old slanted lie flat seat on their 787.

JAL does not offer fully flat seats in business class. They are a generation behind their competition. SQ certainly has a better seat.
If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!

Quoting avi8tir (Reply 4): Ok, lets talk A388 vs. 787....
I think it´s not about the seat, it´s really about the a/c. He´s going on SQ long haul to LHR, he is asking wether you´d choose dreamliner or whalejet, so to speak, not the differences between SQ and JAL. My opinion is A388, not only due to the better product at SQ, but because I thnk we´ll see a lot more 787 in the future than A380 (sadly).

In reality, this is what I am referring to..... I guess the product isnt as important since its only 6 hours. and I am not getting the A388 LHR-SIN as I had wanted to get on (773ER as mentioned above).

If, as you say, the product is not relevant, then for me the choice is easy: 787. You'll experience SQ's J class seat on the 77W, anyway, which is exactly the same seat as they have installed on the A388, therefore it's a product that you will have already experienced, so why not try something different?

Definitely the 787. The A380 really isn't anything special to fly on, but the 787 is packed with cool new stuff that you can actually see and play with...
