Upgrades With UA MileagePlus Premier Status?

Hi all,

I just qualifyd as Silver Premir on the Milage Plus program and my question is how exactly the free upgrades are working?
as per my understandting as Silver Premir the upgrade is only confirmed at the day of flying - but as UA has now basically on all flights EcoPlus - I imagine that upgrades from Eco cabin are only into EcoPlus or still into Business / First on domestic flights?
