I am curious as to what route launches have been some of the most successful in the airlines history.

I know EK's new service to DUB has been one of the most successful in the last few years, it started in January 2012, and after just 2-3 weeks service announced it was going to upgrade aircraft type to cope with demand.

Also BA began flying to LAS from LHR and was upgraded from 777 to 744, and now they have announced new flights from LGW-LAS.

What other routes have been successful route launches for airlines?

Let's fly! Unless it's on a CRJ 200, then I'll stay down here.

By September 2007, after just over two years of service, it was upgraded to a daily 777-300ER.

Then, in January 2009, Emirates announced that Seoul would be the airline's sixth A380 destination after New York, London, Sydney, Auckland and Toronto, starting in December of that year. Seoul was the first destination in Northeast Asia to be served by Emirates' A380. All of this happened within 5 years of the airline establishing operations there.

The biggest mistake made by most human beings: Listening to only half, understanding just a quarter and telling double.

I know FI KEF-SEA flight has worked great for them, lots of business people (Microsoft for example) going Scandinavia-Seattle.

Nothing compares to taking off in an empty 757 with full thrust!
