Hi all,
I'm flying a DL 77L from LAX-NRT in a couple of weeks, and I made CERTAIN I got a window seat, and I checked SeatGuru and everything, but even they don't give all of the details on the seats for DL.
I'm in row 35 seat J.
Seatguru says nothing's wrong with it, but just to make sure, which rows on the DL 77L are devoid of a window?
I may purchase an economy comfort seat as well for this flight.

PHX,
I believe the only seats w/o windows in DL's 777L are located at 44A+J, so you should be fine in that regard. As for Economy Comfort, unless you're over 6'1", it's really not worth the $150 or so for the upgrade in my opinion. There is 50% greater recline in EC, which may be an important factor for you, especially on such a long flight...
35J will be a great seat if you want to watch the 777L's beast of a wing, but of course you won't be able to look down to see passing landscapes. Hope this helps.

Row 34 in EC has the misaligned window; however, consider that the seats in row 34 have 9" of recline so I would move out of row 35. Seat pitch in row 35 is not adjusted to allow for the greater recline of row 34 but window-wise you should be OK at 35. Row placement was adjusted when EC was added to this aircraft as previously 35 had the misaligned window.
If you consider buying up to EC, select row 30 if available. Good legroom, no one reclining in your space and tray and monitor in armrest.....and lav nearby was not an issue with people use/noise. I was able to exit out of 30A without making my seatmates get up; however, no floor storage obviously until takeoff.

I actually am 6'1'' exactly. I had EC on my last flight to Japan and it was quite worth it.

I am not really a fan of the bulkhead because I always have my backpack with me which I stow beneath the seat in front of me (or under my legs during the normality of the flight)
It kindof sucks though that the 77L has the wing right at the beginning of the economy cabin. I'm a real big fan of aerial shots but I think I could just do that on my return flight (A330)
Either way, do all of the 77Ls have the power ports in EC and economy?

If you are in Row 35, definitely upgrade to Economy Comfort. I once sat in 34 on a flight from NRT-LAX on the 77L and had no problems with viewing out of the window and I am 6'2".
Alternatively, all beer, wine, and spirits are complimentary throughout the flight when flying Economy Comfort to/from Asia versus only beer and wine being complimentary in Economy.
I believe the upgrade was $130 ~ . I cannot remember, but for an ~11 hour flight, you should definitely make the small investment and make your trip a little more comfortable!!! And considering you are flying to Narita, I highly doubt this is a budget-conscious trip, so you make the call =]
