I'll be traveling to Paris on 7aug returning 9aug and as an airline employee, I cannot seem to find a way to be exempt from the departure taxes. With London, I've found that as long as your time in country is under 24hours, or perhaps one calendar day, you do NOT pay the fees.
France has similar fee's and is there a way to avoid the charges??
In addition, I have a sister flying in from Sierra Leone on Air France, connecting to this UA flight. Is it possible for her to have her fee's waived since she's already paid them from her confirmed AF reservation?

Different rules. The UK APD charges are so high, nobody would connect at LHR if the APD also applied to connecting passengers. Airport taxes at most other European airports are much lower so most don't waive the fees for connecting passengers.
