Hi!
Thought I'd ask a quick question/poll. What was the last airport you were in? Mine today was Bristol here in the West Country in the UK where I dragged my Mum to go watch planes and have a look at the terminal/drink a coffee. It is a very cool airport with some very interesting features including:
Runway approach lights on one runway built on very high stilts because the terrain drops off sharply away from the runway.
A great view from a spotting place on the far side of the runway from the terminal.
A nice small terminal which looks like a miniature version of London Stansted but with lots of trees and grass outside like a small garden.
Approach lights on stilts and sheep!
View from the spotting place (although when we were there today we saw only 1 plane land and nothing on the taxi ramp):
Outside the terminal:
Inside the terminal:
It's definitely no Hong Kong or Soeul but it's still an airport so I like it!
Anyway if you feel like writing what airport you were last in and maybe posting a few pics it would be great!

Last week I was in MIA. I was also not flying, though I did get to go into secured areas. I was taking a tour of CBP facilities in MIA. They have a great staff there! Dogs and Humans
Next time in about two weeks I will be in MIA flying out to LAX, taking DL instead of the usual AA. It will be my first time in the South Terminal.

Wouldn't the "last airport you were in" always be your home airport? Last airport I was in was JFK... and unless I'm actually on a trip at the time, that would always be the last airport I was in.
Before that, while I was on the trip I was last on, the last airport I was in was PDX.

Last time I was at an airport to do something aviation related was last week in Akureyri when shuttling my friend over for his flight back home to Reykjavik. I drove home the next day.
Last airport I landed on was also Akureyri aboard Air Iceland's newest aircraft, Dash 8-200 TF-JMG, operating flight NY118 from Reykjavik.
As I practice football right under the short final approach at Reykjavik's rwy 13 / just after takeoff path of rwy 31 I am sorta at the airport 5x a week.

Unless you're reading this post on a current business trip or a vacation away from home. But most likely, it's going to be.
JFK for me, I just flew back from PWM on B6 almost two weeks ago after being away for 3 weeks in the wilderness. Going back to JFK this Friday for my very first A380 flight

Mt Isa in Queensland. if i was to rate it on a scale of 1 poor to 10 great . It would be a -5 nothing going for it . no fids , 1 big hall for arrivals and departures , overpriced food outlet . sadly this and townsville are my most frequent airports at the moment

25 plateman: DCA (home airport) returning from STL via ORD on AA ... flight as usual 1.5hrs late.
26 BlueLine: Since I won't count ORD, as I'm there five days a week, the last airport I was in was LGA about two months ago.
27 Jetsgo: RNO, but that's just my home airport. Most recent destination airport would be PHL with a connection in DFW.
28 byronicle6: My last was my home airport AKL, arriving late last Sunday 22/7. Before that, BNE and LAX
29 vhqpa: Mine was BNE (Home Base) after flying in from SYD two Sundays ago. Day after tomorrow I'll be at BNE to fly to ADL then after that KGC (Kingscote, SA)
30 airtrainer: I landed in BRU on saturday morning, having visited LAS, YYZ and YUL before that. If you ask for the next, DUS and ZRH will be on the list
31 Pe@rson: LTN this morning with my 2-year-old son before I went to work.
32 aloges: CGN for me, last Thursday after arrival from a shopping mall near London... I mean LGW. So you're starting his obsession really rather early!
33 727tiger: Landed at SGF on 7/23, returning from SFB. Flew down for a cruise departing out of/returning to Port Canaveral, FL.
34 B7474: JFK International Airport, planespotting, check out some pics.
35 Ps76: Hi! Not in the case where I started this post. That's why I asked the question like that. Many thanks for all the replies and pics. Pierre
36 Fiveholer: Besides being at TUL about every day of the week at work, I was at DEN the 24th of July. Danny
37 Pe@rson: lol. Whenever he sees or hears a plane he already goes 'WOOOOSH!' and moves his hand upwards.
38 dc9northwest: Larnaca International. I'm in Cyprus for now... leaving for Malta tomorrow. Deathly hot here unfortunately
