Flying Canada Domestic Question

Hello! I will be flying domestically within Canada soon and I have some questions:

1. As a US citizen, do you need to present the US passport as legal identification when checking in?

2. Do the same security rules apply in Canada as in the US? For example, placing all of your liquids in a quart-sized Ziploc bag or taking off your shoes.

On domestic flights, other types of government-issued photo ID (e.g. driver's license) are also acceptable, but since you need a passport for the trans-border flights you might as well use that.

Liquids are the same. Normally you don't have to remove your shoes unless you're asked to, or unless you know they're likely to set off the metal detector.
