Hello from Brazil, this is my first post on airliners.net and I will try to keep it short. I want to travel from São Paulo to Europe next november and would like to give LUFTHANSA a try. I 'd like to travel in Business or maybe First, from GRU nonstop to Munich. Normally, it is operated by an A-340-300, but for november, it seems it was shifted to an A-340-600. I 've read some pretty bad reviews on LH A-340 Business class seats, but I believe they are in process of retroffiting those planes with their new product. Now the questions: what can I expect to find on their A-340-600 Business, a new full-flat seat? And about First, what's about the chances to get the new product? What´s the reason the A-340-300 was replaced by the A-340-600 in november only? I will appreciate any input on the subject, thank you/obrigado!

There is no new Business Class on any A340 yet, so no lie-flat seats yet. Your chances of catching the new First are more likely on the -600 than on the -300. The old First is apparently a bit dated. Here's an overview which planes have the new First:

Thank you very much LH422! I will consider that information to carefully make a choice, this leaves very few options with fully-flat bed on Business from Brazil to Europe: British Airways, Iberia and Swiss. AF/AZ/CA/JJ/LH/TP, all of them offers an ANGLED lie flat seats on Business... Hope LH will install a new product soon, they are very well-known for their quality onboard service but heard many bad things about the seats...

I flew TLV-FRA-GRU and back in April in C on LH. While it was definitely v nice, the seats are old and on the way back to AirShow didn't work in the whole plane. Annoying on a long flight, though this oculd happen everywhere.
