For about the past half hour I have been getting this message on their site:

"We are experiencing technical difficulties. This will temporarily affect our ability to serve you online."

Anyone know what's up?

Everything is down with shares so all airplanes are currently on ground hold. No departures until the system is up again.

If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!

Ugh. I was in the middle of booking a flight, and the system wouldn't let me log in. Of course!

It is worse sitting on a plane right now waiting for dispatch and ready to miss a connection.

Supposedly there is a network failure or outage somewhere. I remember this happening at least once at NW in MSP: a backhoe operated by a utility contractor cut a trunk which included a connection from NW's headquarters and data center to the airport terminal itself. No easy way to get around something like that
