While jogging in Balboa Park this evening with the fog rolling in, I heard a rumble in the direction of Lindbergh Field. I looked over and out of the fog shot BA's 777-200 roaring up and over the park. Planes were landing over the ocean this evening due to the fog. The sight of that bird climbing was spectacular. At first, I thought it was the return leg to LHR, but at 6:15-ish, it was much too early. Flight aware shows that in fact flight 273 made it all the way to Lindbergh Field, made its final approach and then abandoned it. The flight ended up in Ontario - I bet the passengers were thrilled. Later the plane flew to LAX where the plane apparently sits.

BA now shows tonight's flight 272 leaving tomorrow at 19:00, followed by BA's regular 10/16/2012 flight leaving an hour later at 20:00. So tomorrow SanFans, we will have not one, but two BA 777s at our humble little airport!!! Where will they park both these beasts?

Looks like our HAL16 decided to pay a visit to LAX after giving it a few random laps

Looks like an Alaska flight from HNL did the same, also going to LAX

Tough night!

Same with the OGG-SAN flight; it went to LAX.

Wow! A BA 772 at Ontario. That's awesome. Just down the road from me.
