Anybody happen to know what's going on with this flight? I was sitting outside on my patio and happened to notice a 747 flying overhead (which is a rarity where I live) so I looked it up and figured out it was the daily BA 192 from to DFW-LHR.
I've watched it circle over my house 3 times in the last 20-30 minutes and now it seems to be heading north as of about 6:30 CST. Just curious why it might be doing this.

In between the time that I originally posted this and now it switched to ORD, it originally showed LHR. It shows a status of 'diverted ' now if you notice on the right.

A plane doesn't take off, immediately enter a holding pattern, then decide to fly to another random city to pick up passengers.
Something probably occurred on takeoff, maybe an engine lost, or some other issue that would prevent them from an ocean crossing. Rather than circle and dump fuel, they may have decided to fly up to ORD and be able to get some passengers on the later BA and AA flights this evening.

So I'm curious, in a situation such as this where it appears to be some sort of mechanical issue (possibly with the nose gear) would they continue on to another city along the way like they did here with that gear down the whole time? That would have to be a rather noisy flight I'd think.
Also, would this flight have needed to dump fuel at any point? Obviously it continued on to ORD and ended being airborne for about 3 hours but having been originally scheduled for a 8+ hour flight to LHR there's no way it burned off most of the fuel it intended on using. I was on a flight 4-5 years ago from HNL-DFW which took just fine but about an hour or so into the flight there was an issue with the A/C and they turned us back around to HNL. I don't recall the pilot mentioning any sort of fuel dump procedure but he did explain that since we landed overweight there was some rule that we had to sit there for several hours to allow the brakes to cool off before we could leave again. That ended up turning what should have been an 8 hour red eye flight into quite possibly the longest flight in all my travels.
