Good Morning Fellow A.Netters,

I was wondering if anyone else out there could enlighten me on the reservation systems that TK has.

When I go online to view my reservation, it shows me just my flight and the passengers; but has no option to select seats, view aircraft or anything.

I am quite used to being able to see a seatmap with available seats, but they provide nothing.

Also, when booking, it looked like I was going to be doing my IST-KHI sector on a B738    , but now it looks like I am going to be going on a A332   , which I would very much prefer, as it has PTV's.

Can anyone shed some light on when TK allows you to select your seats online, and if anyone has access to confirm which metal my second flight TK708 (19Dec) would be on?

Much Appreciated!!

While making your reservation you have the option to chose your seat, but once you completed the reservation you cannot go back and change seats. You'll need to call the airline, or a ticket office to have seats changed.

Regarding TK708/19Dec its indeed loaded as a A332 at the moment.

Thank you LAXintl

When I was booking my seats, it did not give me the option to select seats. Something similar to that sandrozrh experienced...

I will give TK a call and try to get some good seats!

Normally seat selection is done by clicking on seat selection symbol inside the red highlighted box during the booking process.

Yes, and that's exactly the point where the system says "seat selection will be available 30 days before departure".

For me it said, "Seat selection for flight TK0071 will not be active until 18 April 2012." when I booked a flight for next june about a month ago.

Funny thing is that it was already past that date, but I assumed it was just an error in the year. I'll try calling and reserving somewhere close to that flight. Really desperate for a window seat in C class for my flights.

Tried a spoof-booking of same sectors, and it still says seat selection available after April 18, 2012.
