I've just booked BA seats from LHR to TLV for next April. I expected it to be B777-200 or a Boeing 767 from terminal 5 but I see it's going to be an A320 from terminal 1. Having never flown on a B777, i was rather disappointed that it seems to be "downgraded" to an A320.
Can anyone please tell me why the aircraft type's been changed and why it's going from terminal 1 rather than terminal 5?

BA have downgraded the route to newly mid-range configured ex-BMI A321s and moved it to Terminal 1 at LHR as a result. The same has happened to CAI and other mid-haul destinations.
Next Flights: LHR-OSL (319), OSL-LHR (321), LHR-ARN (320), ARN-VXO (S34), VXO-BMA (ATP), ARN-LHR (763), LHR-CPH (320), C

3 x daily A321 in midhaul 23J 131M config, with an excellent on demand IFE system, all from Terminal 1....changed with the winter schedule changeover. Cairo will also cut over to an A321 midhaul operation in January.
