Hi!

I am booked on a trip to LCA from CGN via VIE. The first and last sector are operated by 4U but my booking is with an OS flight number.
Now I am anticipating that I will have to pony up the baggage fee for the outbound flight, but what about the return leg?
Will they check my luggage through (both ways)?

Thanks a lot!

You should check your booking confirmation- normally 23KG are free of charge (for feeder flights to *A partners).

On top, I would ask on board, if meals and drinks are free of charge. The crew is getting different lists, one for passengers traveling "low-cost" (BOB) and passengers with premium fares or *A connecting flights. Maybe you have luck!

Well my booking reference (from ebookers.at) states that baggage charges may apply.

But thanks a lot for the information. I was not aware about the catering issue at all.

Log onto https://www.checkmytrip.com and enter you AMADEUS reservation code- your luggage allowance will be displayed!

Weird...

I don't really feel like calling up 4U with their ridiculously high call center fees...
Hmmmm...

You can still request information regarding your luggage via OS web-page- just follow the link "Contact".

Okay, on OS' website it states Economy basic / T as the fare.
No word on the baggage allowance though.
I cannot access the booking via 4U's website either. Although I did receice a seperate 4U booking reference.
I guess I'll just send them an email.

Thanks for all the help.

Okay, just got the reply.

Not very helpful, tbh. The lady told me to contact my booking agency.
Oh, great. Well, what can you do. I guess this quest of finding out what the dealio with this booking is continues.

I had been looking in similar flights to LCA via VIE albeit from HAJ.
Booking as an OS-ticket through a broker (BCD) I got (and still get) the info of "1 PC" of free checked baggage (usually this is up to 23 kg these days within Lufti's conglomerate).

Okay, now I talked to ebookers and they said that I'm good to go. One piece of free baggage for me and one for my lady.
Now I'll just have to wait and see what happens on board. Not that their complementary catering is anything to write home about.
