So I am curious - could a pax be shot by an air marshal, thrown off a flight, and blacklisted all within a few hours? Or is this example completely fictional?

Looks like they can be blacklisted fairly quickly. This Canadian who recently forced an AA flight from Miami to Recife, Brazil to divert to Port of Spain, Trinidad was having trouble finding an airline who would fly him out of the country after paying an $8,000 fine. http://guardian.co.tt/news/2012-11-2...dian-stuck-tt-blacklisted-airlines
