Hello Everyone,
I am planning from Spain to MNL for summer 2013. I dont care departing from BCN or MAD. So far i have found fares on the range 800-900€.
I would like to know if anyone who is more familiar with this route has any idea of how the fare fluctuations are. should i wait to buy it? should i get it now? are u familiar with emirates or qatar deals and when do they usually appear?

I'm not familiar with EK or QR deals, but KL does have deals ex-MNL (not so sure about to MNL) throughout the year. However, the European summer is low season in the Philippines, since it coincides with the start of the rainy season, so ticket prices should be lower than in April-May (our summer), Holy Week or Christmas.
Anyway, if you're coming over for the summer, I'm sure you'll enjoy it anyhow. Mabuhay and welcome to the Philippines!

You did not say when you would be willing to travel (summer is pretty broad ...) and for how much time you would be willing to stay ...
Just did a random check for July with a stay of 10 days - the minimum price is €750 on QR but with a 9h layover in DOH, a layover of 3h increases the price to €770. EK fares are over €800.

Hi, thanks for the quick replies!
I would stay there about 20 days aprox. I am kinda forced to fly on july-august (best july) As i am not familiar with the route and season for this trip i don't know if the 800€ is the standard or is it likely to go down/up in the following months, therefore would you advise me to buy it now or wait-hope for a drop?

I did some searches on Skyscanner España, and the cheapest I got was €752 on China Southern. Emirates was already around €800+. Note that the dates I searched for are July 2-22.
You can wait, but I don't know how much ticket prices go up or down: Filipinos normally buy tickets for the summer well in advance.

It might be a good idea to look for good deals to HKG and add a separate ticket on a LCC (Cebu Pacific/Airphilexpress) for HKG-MNL ...
Btw.:
SV (Saudia) has "sometimes" really good deals to MNL ~ 500,-€ incl.tax ex FRA.
I´d suspect they would offer similar deals ex MAD as well ...
Downside may be long layovers at RUH/JED with little to do.
