Hey everyone,
I'm traveling back to the US from Saudi Arabia in mid January and have two options for my return. Do you recommend connecting in Dubai and flying nonstop to IAD or from Bahrain to IAD via KWI. I've flown Delta from Dubai before so I'm very familiar with terminal 1 at DXB, however I know nothing about BAH and KWI. I'm Premier Gold so I'm curious about lounges, overall service etc. Does the Bahrain/Kuwait flight use reconfigured 777s? Would I have to deplane in KWI?
The Dubai flight probably makes more sense, but I like the "exoticness" of going through Bahrain and Kuwait. Also, this flight seems significantly less full so I'd expect a lot of empty seats in Y and maybe a decent chance at an upgrade.
I'm interested to hear your thoughts and appreciate all of your insight.

PS the flight to Dubai from Saudi is SV on 773 and the flight to Bahrain would be on Gulf Air on an A332.

Ive flown on UA 981 from IAD to KWI many times on the way to India. KWI is not a bad airport, but there is a slight smoking smell. Nice airplane model shop, and good restaurants. IAD to KWI is a 14 hour flight, so be prepared and bring a neck pillow etc. Try to get an Economy+ upgrade, it's helpful.

Thanks Rahul. If I'm originating in BAH, will I be getting off the plane in KWI? And thanks for the tip regarding E+... already got my seat in that section
