Hi All,

I'm travelling back from Australia to London on 11th March, and have so far only booked myself as far as Singapore. Has anyone got some suggestions as to a really cheap way of getting back to London from there? I've looked at things like jumping on Tiger Airways as far as BLR and then jumping on another carrier from there, but the 3hrs 55min connection between two different airlines at BLR puts me off a little (just in case there are delays ex-SIN)...

Currently, i'm travelling as follows (local times);

11/03/2013 ... TZ005 ... OOL-SIN ... Scoot ... B777-200ER ... 0925-1520

I need to arrive back in to LHR by 1730 local latest on 12th March, but am otherwise very flexible.

Any suggestions for an unusual routing most welcome!

Thanks

For March the european airlines should be doing discounts - tried things like LH or AY, the one stop service via FRA/MUC or HEL, then back to LHR? If you do LH, you can go into LCY as well?

I dont know about the price but if you book now it should be reasonable?

I strongly advise against playing anything to connect via BLR on two separate tickets....... it could cost you loads.... Delays from SIN can happen due to a thunderstorm for the day, remember its a tropical environment!

hope it helps and enjoy your flights!

SIN-JED-CMN, £210 o/w on Saudia - scheduled for 777-200s, but you might end up with something more exciting. Lots of options back to LHR/UK from there, even on a legacy the whole thing should cost you under £350.

The cheapest I could find:

11MAR SV 837 SIN JED 1700 2120 777
12MAR SV 113 JED LHR 0145 0520 777
Total price: S$ 405.00

I understand the timing in SIN is a little bit tight but for such an efficient airport it should be doable. Flights that leave later out of SIN almost double the price ...

Unfortunately the European carriers are charging big bucks for a one-way flight in March - not much fun!

I spotted these as well guys, and would happily give it a try, but I just don't want to gamble on 1hrs 40mins @ SIN, especially if I have to clear immigration, collect a bag and change terminals... I'm sure the airport is great, but I'm also not 100% certain that my flight up from Oz would arrive in time...

It's currently narrowed down to either Malaysia Airlines or Qatar Airways. I'd prefer MH for the One World frequent flyer points, but i've flown through KL before. I would go with QR, but I gather you can never guarantee your seat reservations.

Still hoping someone throws on an amazing sale at shortish notice!!
