It's less than a month before MH joins oneworld, but I notice that QF still does not have them listed as a partner, or show earn and burn points figures on their website.
Is this something that happens once it has all commenced?
I would have thought being so close to commencement it would have already been listed.

QF didn't publish anything about AB until the day after they have joined (I think, it might have been the day they joined?) so don't expect to see anything for another couple of weeks.
I daresay that we'd be hearing far more about MH if everything had gone according to QF's plans and the two were partners and conquering SE Asia together. Those plans all appear to have gone south, so I imagine QF will treat MH like any other alliance partner.

Very well said...
With QF forming an alliance with EK & the new partnership commencing in April I believe management would've given it priority over MH joining OW...

Thank you QF002 and EK413 ....(EK413 - time to have a second profile of QF80xx isn't it now ?!)
I'm flying down under in May on QF as always, and I'm considering a trip in Jun/Jul for 10 days for the Lions tour but was looking at Qatar, so I guess will be true of them when they formally join OW.
One thing I can't find out, and I'm hoping one of you will know. If you search a flight to/from LHR now, you get loads of the EK QF codeshare flights now appearing. But normal rules are a marketed flight with a QF prefix gives you normal points as if it was a "real" QF flight doesn't it? Do you know when the EK FF details will be announced. End of March perhaps?
I'm not sure whether I want to fly EK, I've been spoilt on QF!

You'll get QFF points on any EK flight (across the entire network, even outside the QF deal) but you'll only earn QFF status credits on a flight sold under a QF code.

Skywards members will earn points on all QF International services. We don't know anything about the earn rates or how it'll differ across fare classes yet, for either airline. Hopefully we'll find out soon (these are the sorts of details that can only be figured out after ACCC approval has been granted).
I'd say that it was the stingiest earn rates on any QF partner airline. 1 in F and 0.75 in J! Seriously???
Also, very few economy fare classes earn anything. I have to say that I'm a little disappointed, I thought that they would be a valuable addition to QFF.

I'm still very positive about this tie-up overall, but it's annoying to see that on the QF website the cheapest option on literally every date and route I've looked at involves EK flight numbers on at least some flights, meaning that they are - in effect - making you pay extra for status credits. I'd suggest that the vast majority on non-Anetters won't actually think to check the EK/QF flight number earning credits thing, and since it isn't made obvious during the booking process will end up winging that they didn't earn credits.
