I've just been looking to book a Jet2 flight from MAN to FAO in June 2013. When I get to the seat selection screen the seat map is for a 757 but the only extra legroom seats are by the emergency exits - the first few seat rows that are usually extra legroom are standard seats. Last year I ended up on the Privilege Style airlines 757 which had no extra legroom seats, despite having paid for them (and what a battle I had with Jet2 to get my money back!).

So, does anyone know if Jet2 is going to sub-contract these flights again this year, or have their own 757s had the extra legroom rows removed?

Well, so far, Jet2 will add 1 A320 and 1 B738 sub-lsd to their fleet for S13. For information visit this excellent web-page:

I believe they are using a Titan Airways 757 at MAN this summer, with LS crew, so it could be their aircraft that is scheduled to be on that flight

Why does Jet2 always need to sub-charter? Surely it should be selling only what it has the capacity to fly itself. I appreciate that there will sometimes be a short-term need for extra capacity, but this seems to be a regular thing with Jet2.
