Hello everyone!!!

Lest Week I posted "Getting upgrades at check in" and I got a lot of feedback. Thank you!! So I figured I could get some help here for booking my summer vacation.

I am planning a summer trip with my family from YUL-ATH. I want to fly Business Class but there is never a segment that's all business class. Usually I get the long haul to Europe in Economy and the short haul with Europe in Business. Now, I am not willing to give all those points in Business Class for a 2 hour flight. I need to know if anyone has any ideas of how I could fly to Europe in Business Class with my points but maybe via another website I don't know about, or maybe something with Star Alliance. I don't mind buying tickets and then using my points to get an upgrade voucher but the fare Class that I need to purchase is Y or B and those are the high end economy tickets, which makes no sense. I have used Points.com before which worked great but I want to know is there any other way? Converting my Aeroplan for Lufthansa Miles and then booking through Lufthansa?

And Yes I have used the conversion link on web flyers.

Cant wait to get everyone's input on this.

Summer to Europe with the family is going to be tough to get them all in biz I think. Two can be done, depending on luck, but more than that is tricky on any flight in my experience trying to do the same as an AC Elite. I've been contemplating SYD and AUK in the winter a couple of times, and occasionally the option for 2 comes up, as long as you're willing to travel mid week. I doubt they release many more than per flight to Aeroplan anyway, at least for the lower tiers.

On the Aeroplan website, you should be able to see all the *A options as well, for example, the LH flights should be there (maybe with AC codeshare numbers, but LH metal). I know NZ shows up when I am looking in that direction.

I think it's a bit easier if you are Super Elite, as from what I've been told by friends at that level is that they tend to let you do whatever you want, as long as seats are not yet sold and you have a huge bucket of miles to use (which they do as Super Elites). Of course, a lot of SE's don't reallywant to get on a plane for vacations...but their families do, so off they go!

Good luck!
