I was at MUC on 1st December and found the visitors' terrace closed (there was a sign at the entrance but only in German, so I couldn't read it). I'm visiting MUC again in February and wondered if it's now open again.

I´m pretty sure it´s closed for the winter and won´t open until March or April. Maybe you can find some info on MUC´s website?

Unfortunately not - the website says it's open daily!

Wasn't it closed due to a renovation?

I have been asked by one of the MUC people in charge - who was made aware of this thread - to inform you that the terrace is open year-round but occassionally has to be closed for a day or so due to poor weather. That is what the sign you could not read says in German (because of your experience, they have promised to add an English text asap).

Wow, who would have thought a thread started here would actually lead to some positive action from an airport authority?!! Thanks vfw614 for your proactive approach, I'm very grateful and very impressed!
