Qantas 974 from BNE to TSV is squawking 7700 and maneuvering at 9K feet or so around Rockhampton after descending abruptly. Pressurization issue maybe?

Aircraft in question is VH-VXE

Yes, Qantas confirmed that the crew noticed the Boeing 737-800 "was not maintaining its normal cabin pressure". The captain initiated a descent, deployed oxygen masks and advised the passengers that the aircraft would divert to Rockhampton. A replacement aircraft was arranged to carry the passengers to their destination.
