I found the following on google finance. I'm not sure it's 100% accurate because some of the airlines are traded on different market places and market cap was different according to which stock symbol I looked up. The category "Airline" only has 18 companies, LH,SQ, CX not being part of it.

China Southern
China Eastern

Both reports are so different. Which one is right?

BestWestern's ranking was accurate on March 3rd 2011, so about 2 years ago.

I took the latest market cap data that I could find on google finance, so figures from February 1st 2013, but I listed the limitations of my findings.

You could go on each of the airlines' websites and go to the investor relations page to find the best data. I'm sure there are some recent rankings in some aviation related magazine as well.

Air China has been #1 for several years. Don't think that has changed recently. Here's one ranking dated last September.
