DUS primarily is a O&D-airport, not a transfer airport (even though airlines and the airport itself like to market that).
Allow 90 minutes for the connection and you are safe in case of minor delays.
As long as the bags are checked-thru to DRS there is no need (and option) to retrieve them at DUS, this will be dealt with at DRS.
Just clear immigration and a new security check at DUS.

Depending on the time of the day, but I managed to change planes there in less than 45 minutes. I actually prefer it over FRA where you taxi for an hour to go to a remote stand in order to be driven by bus back to the terminal.
