I have wondered this for a while, but I haven't been able to find any answers.
Is it possible to connect on DL thru LGA to BOS or any of the Delta Shuttle destinations? For instance, if somebody wanted to fly JAX-BOS could they connect through LaGuardia? I tried booking it on DL's website and it only showed me connection options through ATL.
If you are able, are you on your own to get over to the MAT from the Delta terminal?
Any information is greatly appreciated! Thanks

There is a shuttle bus that runs between the Main terminal and the MAT. I think they come every 30 mins.
It will take a good 15 min ride from either way due to the clogging traffic around the airport caused by limos, taxi cabs, etc.
DL likes to route everything thru their main hub...ATL. I figure since they have the most flights to pretty much everywhere in DL's system.

DL's site seems to have evolved over the years in how it offers connections. It generally discourages JFK connections these days and I havent seen an LGA connection offered up in a long while. Presumably, this is dependent on what your O&D pair is and how DL views it hub's catchment, its view on connecting capacity vs O&D, etc.
All this being said, you can usually force a connection in the focus city of your choice on Delta.com by building your itin using the multi-city tool and enter it segment by segment.

Quoting 777wt (Reply 1): There is a free airport shuttle bus that runs between the Main terminal and the MAT.
On the lower levels of each terminal, the light blue Port Authority bus marked 'Route A' will take you from all terminals to ...Terminal A / The MAT / The Delta Shuttle (3 different names...all the same building).
Delta runs its own shuttle from the upper levels of Terminals C and D. Any other questions? PM me.

It has to do with the split terminal operation. DL has made the decision to not offer connections at LGA to/from the DL Shuttle because of the nature of the connection (leaving airside, taking a shuttle to the MAT, etc.)
The MCTs at LGA:
Quote: DL-DL DD SUP FLT 1 - 9998 - FLT 1 - 9998 TRM C - A
DL-DL DD SUP FLT 1 - 9998 - FLT 1 - 9998 TRM D - A
DL-DL DD SUP FLT 1 - 9998 - FLT 1 - 9998 TRM A - C
DL-DL DD SUP FLT 1 - 9998 - FLT 1 - 9998 TRM A - D
Sticking with JAX-BOS as an example, all the fare rules contain the following language:
