Hallo there!
Some time ago there was a news about BA planning a European Tour on its new A380(s) (for crew training and for advertising, as can be supposed). Are there any more details on that? For instance: dates, cities/ports, whether it will be possible to buy tickets (cheap, of course) through the regular booking system (like for AF's flights CDG-LHR-CDG on A380 in 2010).

Nothing firm yet, some reports suggest there will be some flights to MAD and/or BCN and some reports suggest the flights will not carry passengers - purely crew training. Which seems odd, surely you want to see how well loading/unloading a full plane in turnaround will take. Truth be known, I don't think anyone really knows, it's all just rumours and speculation. I would "watch this space"

Quoting n729pa (Reply 1): some reports suggest the flights will not carry passengers - purely crew training.
I can't speak for other carriers, but I do know Lufthansa has had training flights with and without passengers. Often training flights without passengers had a dual purpose, such as showing off the aircraft's amenities in a key market or testing an airport's readiness as designated diversion point should FRA be closed.
Some of the designated airports do get regular LH service and yet the A380 flew in and out without passengers.
