Quoting sk736 (Thread starter): Flightradar 24 is showing that LA704 on 13 March was operated by both LAN A340 CC-CQE and Hi Fly A310 CS-TEX. Anyone know why?
CC-CQE departed from SCL at 23:24 on that date, meaning it arrived in Europe today.
On March 12th, CC-CQA departed from SCL at 23:31 to arrive in Europe the following day. That same day, the HiFly aircraft operated MAD-FRA-MAD, probably because of some maintenance issues with the A340. On the return leg to MAD, it operated as LA705A.

They do that occasionally. When I noticed it, I was at FRA and LA 705 to MAD had just departed, operated by a third-party 767. I met someone from the LA ground staff on the people mover to Terminal 1, asked him about it and he said that LA 704 from SCL had arrived at MAD with a huge delay. Therefore, it couldn't fly to FRA and back without carrying over the delay, so the airline chartered another aircraft to get people from FRA to MAD - probably did the same or similar for those going the other way.
