Hi there,

I'm new to the ZED system as my airline just started or is on the way to sign agreements with other airlines (WN, BT, LH, DE, AF, AY, KL, QR etc). I'm planning few trips in the near future and when it comes to look for information about how easy is to get on a flight based on experience of other people using ZEDs (obviously not looking for the real seat availability which btw would be nice hahaha) I don't find any useful forum (here or in other websites). I've seen there used to be lots of topics about this till 2010-11 here in airliners.net forums but not anymore. Also checked pprune and nonrev.net but seem to be pretty dead too. So, anyone knows where can I look for information?

Thanks and sorry if that's not the right forum.

Depending on the airline, some carriers let you list for ZED tickets online. YOu get to see availabiliy and and in some cases purchase the ZED there. For the airlines where you have to call to list you can find out the availability over the phone. The process is relativly easy. YOur airline will price and sell you the ticket and you present it to the airline you are travelling on for check-in. Most airlines will use the current date as your senority date for the list order and you will generally find yourself at the bottom. Best to ensure that you choose a pretty open flight. There are more but that's the jist.

Check out iddeals.com
I signed up to this as it has a cost associated, but have been very happy with my subscription. It shows you the number of seats left available for sale and has been a great tool helping me choose flights I list for.
Good luck.

Also, if you are on Facebook, there is a group called "Loadshare" where you can ask people from other airlines for booking figures and usually get a reply within minutes.

I use IDDEALS.com. You can get a good idea of available seats from them.

As for purchasing the actual tickets, you really need to check with your airline (or company website) first. Many of the airlines are trying to get away from paper tickets. You can purchase the tickets online using a credit card, then listing online in most cases.

Moving away from paper is a great idea, since I just returned 30 coupons for refund last month!!
