A friend has just comes back from a long haul with BA and was keen to tell me the difference in service he found.
Now this guy is a regular in Club with BA and goes "across the pond" to the US often. It seemed to him that the menu had better choice, the food seemed better than he was used to and the wines were great. The seat and the in-flight service by staff were about the same as his usual USA trips, he was wondering if the airline try and improve the product when you are sat there for more than 10 hours?
you don't get a second chance to make a first impression!

and of course there are already 3 types of club world seats - regular; club city [A318s]; and mid haul [A321s] - there may be even 4 types as I am not sure whether the long haul 767s have the same J seats as the other Boeing widebodies.
I guess the overall experience would therefore be contingent upon which version you are experiencing.

The 767s have the old style ClubWorld flatbed seats (the ones BA calls "original seats") and should be in the process of getting a revised version of these. As far as my understanding goes they chose a revised version of the old seats vs. the latest Club World seats because the new ones would not fit as well on the 767s.
With the latest Club World seats I did not experience almost any difference between the 772, 77W and the 744 (maybe the seats on the 77W were slightly better because newer).
The A321s with the ClubWorld class actually have seats similar to what Swiss or Delta (on 767s) have. Actually i have never seen one of those, so correct me if I am wrong. The A318s have yet different seats, so ultimately there are indeed 4 types of seats (two of which are the same family) in the Club World family
