Not sure if this is an appropriate place to ask questions related to airport immigration, but here it goes..
I'm traveling with my friends from HKG and their flights leave in the morning, and mine leaves 15 hours after them in the midnight. I will be able to obtain my boarding pass in the morning (as I've done before from the same airline). I want to know if I can pass through security and immigration, say bye to my friends last time (as they will be going to different city) and come back out, enjoy the city a bit more, and then come back to the airport for my flight.

I'm not sure if the agents will let you go to the gate that early. Immigration being before the gate I'm not sure what they would think of this occurrence either. I say you just go up to security with them and say bye there to be safe. Call the airline and ask them maybe.

IN HKZG, when you pass throught the checkpoint between the check-in hall and the restricted area,
the security guards will scan your boarding pass before allowing you to go ahead.
I don't know whether they will record the entry and allow you to pass throught it again later.
This is not possible for the simple fact once you do departure Immigration, they have you listed as departing the Country. There are circumstances where a flight is canceled and the paxs need to leave he airport. This is done in conjunction with the airlines and Immigration.

You should be able to go through immigration with your friends early (as you as you have your bp). HKG departures and arrivals are separate, however, so if you want to then go airside then back landside, you'll need to find a member of staff to escort you to arrivals (if they allow this), and then through immigration.
But for the life of me, I can't imagine why you'd want to do that though. Just say goodbye to your friends at the hotel/checkin/pre-immigration rather than at the gate. If the extra hour makes so much difference, you should probably just fly with them to wherever they're going.
Don't waste your time and money going to the airport for no reason.
