If anyone could create or see a merger with any 2 airlines what
would it be and why?

I would've loved to see an AA/UA merger.

Both fleets are great.
Hubs would be an issue but are positioned good.
AA dominates Latin America and has a strong pressence in Europe
and is decent in Asia.

UA dominates Asia and as well is strong in Europe and is strong
in Latin America. Plus they fly to Australia.

Plus both airlines have great coverage in North America.

A combined AA/UA would be very dominating.

Plz keep in mind this is just fantasy, a wishlist.

AV/CM Just to really make some competition to LATAM
ET/SA, Just think it'd be cool

What I'd really like to see is a multinational conglomerate under one brand (similar to LATAM) made up of NZ/VA/FJ/TN/NF/SB to form a genuine 'major' from this part of the world...

At one time I was thinking of an Frontier and Air Tran merger...no overlap and an East and West hub.
I also thought that all of the non majors should form a tight code share> JetBlue, AirTran, Spirit, and Frontier. They should try to steer clients to each other to avoid the majors.
