Good afternoon everybody
3 of us are planning a trip from London to Crete island at end of June for a week, and we have the choice to fly between Easyjet or Thomson. As there is nothing sensible from LCY, LGW seems the most sensible and eaqsy airport for us from the SE London area. Timings and price are similar for both airlines and including hold baggage it comes out to be about GBP1100 for all 3 of us. I know easyjet uses A320 series aircraft, what about Thomson? If they use a 757 on this route I know I will want to fly with them. We have been on easyjet many times but what can we expect from Thomson?
On a sidenote, it looks like we have shorlisted this hotel called royal blue resort in the rethymno area. Any locals or people who have been who can help advise whether this area and hotel is good for a relaxing break or not? We plan to hire a car from the airport as transfers organised by the hotels look expensive, and we should have the car for the whole week.

Thanks folks for your replies.....
Unfortunately, the ladies suggested flying on easyjet since they have been on them before without problems and in their mind 'Thomson is an airline for those infrequent traveller who goes on package holidays.....' well, I cant argue with them right?
So flights with Easyjet is booked.
Anyone knows how to get to that famous bridge at gatwick airport? We are flying from the south terminal and would love to walk on it above the planes.....
p.s: dont let me see the thomsons flights operated by a 757 or 767! the ladies though have a point on the arrival time in HER is earlier with easyjet and we have a long drive (an hour) to the hotel...
