Hi All,

Looking for an airport in the med region that has a great hotel on airport, or where the hotel offers a short dedicated minibus link? (eg not a taxi-ride)

hotel should include outside pool area and also a spa..

Any suggestions greatly received.

Cheers!!

You will find great hotels everywhere - best example Palma der Mallorca. But none is offering shuttle bus service, but public buses are very cheap.

Barcelona is offering great airport hotels with shuttle bus service, like http://www.hotel-bcneventscastelldefels.com/en/ or

Thanks debonair - the Barcelona hotel look pretty good, particularly bcnevents. This is the kind of thing I'm looking for. To be able to fly someone nice and warm, walk on foot to an airport hotel and lay by the pool - then fly back. No taxis, and no travel (hotel shuttle is ok)

any other airports anyone can think of? Palma doesn't have any airport hotels, although I admit travel is easy.

The Sofitel Hotel at Athens Airport... Less than 100 yards from the terminal and very nice rooms.

I was going to recommend it too, as it indeed a very good hotel, but sadly no outdoor pool - something the OP had asked for.
The Hilton at FCO also is lacking an outdoor pool, if I am not mistaken.

I recall that there are a few hotels fairly close to LCA, but am not sure if they provide shuttle service.

AYT has a few hotels in its vicinity, but also here to be checked for shuttle resp. pick-up service.
