I'm onboard DL55 to ATL and we just diverted to DKR due to a woman who was 26 weeks pregnant going into labor and delivering the baby in flight. The flight attendants did a marvelous job helping her deliver, and kept their heads about them. The front end crew made a quick decisions to divert. Wonderful CRM all around on DL's part. Just waiting to get a new flight plan and some fuel before continuing on to ATL.

Nice Trip Report!!! Great Pics, thanks for posting!!!! B747Forever

Awesome to hear that things turned out ok.

It's a nice change of pace to hear things went great on the airline side. Get some rest as they gas up your plane!

Hopefully you aren't stuck there for too long. UA diverted 143 LOS-IAH to DKR not too long ago due a dead passenger, and it was a helluva time trying to get a fueler, a way to get paperwork to the crew, and authorization to leave. Diversions are rough enough to a flight, it's even worse when you have to divert to a country you don't normally have authorization to fly to.

We blew a tire upon landing. Crew is off to the hotel and so are we. Gotta love leaving your passport behind with customs in order to get out of the airport.

We're talking about UA now, right? Because DL does fly to DKR, from JFK.

That sucks   Hopefully everything turns out (or already did) turn out well.

Yes, sorry, I wasn't aware DL flew JFK-DKR. I just knew that UA didn't when it's diversion occured.

Gotcha!   Yeah the JFK-DKR route doesn't really get much notice around here. I guess that's good, it isn't having any issues!

And so you know, they fly it twice a week in the winter and three-four time a week in the summer with a 757-200.
