And so it was the old c/s as well.
Gulf air is something diferent as if they are triying to do some art with the aircraft design...

To sum it up, some of the c/s so far:

You know I was just thinking about this today. Gulf Air must have some of the most intricate and beautiful colour schemes out there. Truly incredible.

Have to admit, I always make a beeline for anything that says Gulf Air, the liveries are fabulous whatever era they are...

Those are incredible liveries. The 50th Anniversary one is superb.

As an aside, I liked BA's different tail designs a few years back and was disappointed when they reverted to the Union Flag - I like colour and diversity especially as it makes the subject so much more interesting and photogenic.

Hay i remember the uproar when they removed the union jack from the tail.
Even the iron lady (Margaret Thatcher) got into the act with a protest.

Yes, I remember that very well, and Thatcher covering up the new design on a model with her handkerchief. I'm not un-patriotic (when the occasion warrants) but still preferred the different designs.

They never had the Union Jack. The Union Flag maybe, not the Union Jack which is for ships of the aquatic kind. Pedantic perhaps but important as far as flags are concerned  Wink/being sarcastic (and don't get me started with the people that hang it upside down)

Am I the only one that thinks that first livery is terrible? Looks like somebody went a bit mad with the gold striping!

Gulf Air still have an A320, A330, A340 and a B763 painted in special 'Islamic Art' designs to mark their 50th anniversery which was a few years ago.

Stunning colour schemes in my opinion

Beautiful liveries! Gulf Air did a beautiful job of replicating a persian rug on the jet.
